The HoSE recorded 327 declining stocks, which is more than 2.2 times the number of advancing stocks. However, the VN-Index only experienced a slight decrease of less than 3 points, indicating that real estate stocks defied the overall trend.

On April 1st, the VN-Index experienced a marginal decline of 2.57 points, marking a 0.2% decrease, settling at 1,281.52 points. Across the entire HoSE floor, market dynamics unveiled with 327 codes recording price increases, whereas 77 remained at their reference price and 144 exhibited price decreases.

The real estate sector stood out amid the prevailing market trends, as a significant portion of its stocks donned the green hue. Notable performances included NVL with a 1.16% uptick, PDR surging by 3.14%, DIG rallying with a 4.04% increase, NLG climbing by 1.04%, DXG advancing by 1.76%, TCH rising by 1.59%, QCG marking a notable ascent of 3.17%, alongside DXS and SGR hitting the ceiling. Conversely, a minority of stocks, exemplified by BCM, VRE, KBC, and VPI, exhibited red figures.

Banking equities witnessed a lackluster trading day with a predominant downtrend. Noteworthy decliners included CTG, MBB, VIB, TPB, MSB, and EIB, many of which experienced declines exceeding 1%. On the HoSE, only VCB and SHB managed slight gains.

Most stocks exhibited minimal fluctuations within a narrow range of less than 1%, mirroring a similar pattern observed in the energy and retail sectors.

Conversely, the industrial sector faced challenges with notable declines observed in MSN, which continued its downward trajectory by 1.08%, alongside DGC (-2.51%), DCM (-1.71%), and VHC (-1.79%). Stocks such as HPG, VNM, and GVR also found themselves in the red, although some exceptions included BMP, marking a 2% surge, GEX with a 1.2% uptick, and CSV rising by 2.31%.

Aviation stocks experienced mixed fortunes as HVN surged to its limit following news of post-audit loss reduction, while VJC recorded a minor decline of 0.29%.

Liquidity on HoSE witnessed an improvement, reaching VND 21,562 billion, indicative of heightened trading activity. Read more Financial news.
